Very nice work there!   :tu:

I like the acrylic ones and the idea that you now have the tweezers and toothpick figured into them!

Do you have the "Plus" scales and staight pin ones yet?  If so, can you post a few pics showing them?

I like the "Plus" scales alot! :)

I have done plus scales a few times, it really is not much different, just a little bit more work. I've never incorporated the straight pin though, since I don't trust the lathe with doing such a precise cut so near the very edge of the scale. I might do it by hand though. I rarely get SAKs with plus scales in for rescaling so that might be one of the reasons I haven't been too crazy about doing that :) I bought some acrylic just last week so I will either wait for someone to request some scales or buy a few SAKs before New Years to have something to do during the holidays

And an Executive, my first time doing 74mm:

Finished yesterday, Victorinox Waiter in desert ironwood. No toothpick or tweezers slots as requested by customer. At first I though that desert ironwood is stupidly expensive as a material, but now that it's finished, I know it's worth it.

Thank you very much :) I can take a pic or two for you once I get back home, I have 91mm sets prepared in advance

Have you or are you going to try them on 111mm?

Actually I just made some 111mm scales this weekend for a Sentinel, the contour came out wonderfully but sadly the material was micarta and it came out blotchy and it was just a real mess. If someone were to order 111mm I would gladly do it. However, I've decided to never work with micarta again

Another Spartan, this time the first one I did in acrylic. This was for a very good friend in California, sadly it got stolen in transport. I still think it's one the best SAKs I did and it hurts me that it's in the hand of some crook...

Thank you very much :)

It's been a busy couple of days. I finished a Classic and Spartan last night, both in navy blue/white/red acrylic. Not nearly enough red in this for my liking but I think it turned out nicely.

Product of a few days' work...

Big bro and little bro - Tinker and Classic paired in wenge. I love this wood, incredibly easy to work with.

This is truly amazing, inspirational and beautiful work.
And I was excited when I got my United Woods set by Wenger.
I should have come to you.

BTW - You say you like the wenge wood - It does look pretty nice
Have you made a Wenger in wenge?  :tu:

One wee question: I assume you glue the scales onto the knives?? Epoxy ?

Cheers and keep up the good work.

Thank you for the kind words :) I don't do Wengers because they have nested liners and I would need a lathe to do them precisely. Maybe it could be done by hand, but only with softer woods. I don't use epoxy because it's annoying, I tried it and ended up taking more time cleaning up the epoxy remains than shaping the entire scales  I use an industrial strength glue for metal, wood and plastic which has worked out very well so far. I've made well over 50 of these so far in the course of past two years and none of my customers ever came forward to tell me the glue loosened up, so I guess it's good  :)

Wow! Bantam (with T&T) + Scissors + This (or even some orange and black acrylic) and I would be a happy, albeit broke, fella!

You taking custom orders? lol  :pok:

I can do a Bantam in this acrylic (I'd have to order some more first) with T&T slots, however I don't take apart my SAKs and I can't do the scissors for you. If you're really interested PM me and I'll see what I can do
