A different style for an Excelsior. It's assembled like an Alox with brass scales and pins. All parts fileworked including scales with different patterns :

Better pictures soon.

Hi all,

Here's my latest SAK, another custom deer antler Hunter Pro with fileworked liners and blade :

I avoided fileworks on the lock back lever and spring to keep the coating, and just did the less on the blade.

And better details of the two last ones shown before :

The plane tree burl watch opener :

The brass scales Excelsior without liners :

Great work as always, Michel. :hatsoff:

Nice to see you back here. :D

How do you like the Hunter? I've heard a lot of mixed feelings about that one.

Thanks enki !

I think it's a great model but very surprising for a SAK. There are indeed mixed feelings according to the use.
I have some recent other SAK to post.

Here's a particular model, the watch opener with plane tree burl scales. All parts are fileworked with a classic pattern and a moder one for the inside of spring.

Super nice figure on plane tree, I've never seen the burl variant

MWDP: now that's some rather ornate work. Reminds me of the engraving on some of the fancier firearms.

A Spartan with damasteel blade, brass liners (except the center one which is original aluminium) and AZ desert ironwood.
Brass liners are 1 mm instead of 0.8 mm. It allows a nicer filework :

The last ones, a Hunter Pro with wengé scales :

You made a hunter pro look good!  I actually started to sand and polish the blade on the one I took apart and its very pitted and needed alot of elbow grease to make it look like a standard SAK blade.

Good work!

Thanks to all ! Syph, your Hunter Pro will be nice with the usual polishing for the blade. The coating is fragile.

A grey anodized titan Climber with a little filework. Damasteel blade (no outer liners on this one) :

And a cattle horn Spartan also with a damasteel blade and 1 mm fileworked brass liners :

0.2 mm make all the difference for fileworks.
