why are SOG tools and knives so overlooked?

Love my SOGs, I've got two more of these new in their pack, a paratool in my car, a powerlock blade in my pst, and my best friend still uses the powerlock I gave him when I first joined this forum. Long live SOG!

Think a lot of people just never have tried them and some tend to think they are a little out dated and quirky.
The only thing I don't like about SOGs is the new style can opener.

I really liked the Paladin PT510 (now lost/stolen), but never really connected with any of the others, and the only one I really trust is the Toolclip, but the load out is limited in function. I like the old Switchplier a lot, but am frightened to use the pliers  ::) Their lights and knives really don't appeal - they all look a bit Mall Ninja-ish to me (sorry Nate  :salute:) Add in their abysmal quality record and some bloody awful designs (*cough* Powerduo *cough*) over the last few years, and I'm really not surprised it's lonely in here.

That said......

I'm hoping to get a Switchplier 2 to try out when I get some funds available. From what I've seen, that might be their best offering to date, and one I could really enjoy using/carrying. I hope I'm right, and I hope this is the first of many good offerings from them

Apparently only 1 person here represents SOG on a nearly daily basis

Switchplier 2.0 and SOG-TAC Auto

I'm trying to upload from a new site via my phone so I apologize if the pic is huge :)

It's no Vulcan, but I love it!

Nor is it a switchplier 2.0... But I love it!

I'd always wanted to check out the powerduo anyway, I quite like it, aside from the cracked scale ha. Didn't realize it was 9cr either! And the fielder blew me away. $11, and it could easily be 30-40. Perfect bevel, razor sharp, well centered, solid lockup, deep clip, nice flush wood, screw construction. 7cr17, claims 56-58. I love it, despite being big, it's very comfortable in pocket, and fits my hands well. Props to sog for a great affordable knife.

I have a mini one in my Amazon cart...
