Got home from my last tour as a Facility Manager. I didn't need to use my PowerLock but it had my back, regardless.

Recently bought an older PPP, the Made in USA parts are of a generally much higher quality (all the functional finishing is superior but the newer versions seem to look better).

Of note is how nicely the pliers close.

Thanks guys. Im finally completely satisfied with a SOG tool, like I have unlocked its full potential.

I really feel like SOG is missing out on some major market share because they cant figure out how to make their inside tools on the same level as Leatherman. I suppose this mod proves that space isnt actually an issue either.

Great mods, and I agree with the inner tools being flimsy in comparison.

They are smaller, and feel flimsier...

I have to disagree with this (in my experience anyway). I am new to SOG multitools so my experience is admittedly limited however. I find leatherman tools to be too brittle, especially the flat screw drivers. The tools do not bend at all so when used for slightly the wrong purpose like prying and twisting which is what I find myself using multitools for the most, they just snap.  This is why I decided to try a SOG and so far I am impressed.

The chisel ground combo blade in not so great though  :(

I'm going to pile on with lemo, here. And I know it's all personal preference. But I really prefer SOGs inside tools in general. Some exceptions. LM phillips is a more universal fit than SOGs. SOG scissors are not great. A Wave blade is beefier than SOGs multitool blades. But other than that I prefer SOG.

Don't guess I have really ever had a problem with LM tools  ??? I need to get one of the bigger SOG tools and check them out  I have had a couple medium sized SOG tools and they were fine but I guess I am to much of a LM fan to carry them

A lot greener here in Louisiana than it was in Montana

Thanks :tu: this is our new rental place, where we will be living for our time in Louisiana. We are only partially moved in at this point, because our household goods will not be delivered until Tuesday. So it's sort of like the most luxurious camping ever
