Only opens out to about 13mm (or 1/2" for you colonial types) but is ideal for the little fiddly stuff we have at work (M2 nuts? :ahhh )

Right part number, wrong pic.  This one shows the size better: http://landship.sub.jp/stocktaking/archives/BAHCO_8069_1.jpg

Wonder how hard it would be to chop a couple of inches off the six inch one?

That was very hard for me to type by the way.

Hi all,
as many of you I'm considering buying a skinth, but of course I'm at a loss with all the models and options out there!

So I've got a few questions for you:

At the moment I'm looking at the XL shield , the skinth Plus or the skinth OG.

I'd like to have buttons and a horizontally carrying method (about which I've asked via the form at the skinth site).

Anyway what I'm planning to carry is

Thrunite Ti3
LM squirt ps4
LM bit extender

Plus either the

LM charge
LM bit kit

or

Victorinox Swisstool
Victorinox toolset (the one which comes with the swisstool
Victorinox corkscrew (again, the one which comes with the swisstool)

So the idea is to use it for these two set-ups, where I just replace the multitool and its kits with the same from the other manufacturer.

Of course I'd like to have the smallest package possible, but does it make sense to have a single sheath to use in these two configuration?  Will, for instance, the Charge configuration be too loose? or, as a contrary, the Victorinox one too tight?

So in the end will I be able to kill two birds with a stone? Or shall I rather directly buy two skinths ? (and which ones)

Thanks for your insights!

Danilo

EDIT:
one information which may come useful is that as of now, I'm using the leatherman sheath, the one which came with the charge tti, the leather one which is able to be carried horizontally, and I'm quite happy with it (I still don't have the bit extender, so I'm not sure if it'll fit in there as well, tho).
The problem with it it's that even though I've had it for a couple of months now, it's showing serious wear, and I don't really trust it at this point... (and of course it doesn't help with the victorinox, whose sheath is pristine as it doesn't allow you carry it horizontally, and I simply can't stand carrying a sheath vertically...)

Little Boy fit and it rides in the front pocket great.

Will put up some pictures later.

Forgot to post up a pic in this thread.

Here is my P2 with Lovechild and a OG PST in it. The PST is very loose fit, it will and has fallen out. Rebar is a tight fit.

So this is the picture that was supposed to be in my other posts about my P2.

Great bit of kit but you have to be careful not to get to carried away with the weight of stuff you load into it.

Just laid down some hard earned on a XL Shield. Even went all out and got some brass buttons but chickened out on getting any other colour than black. But black is stealth. Can't wait.

When I ordered mine I knew that belt carry was going to be a last resort

So I opted for the molle and vertical strap carry options, it spends its time being carried in my work bag or on my pack shoulder strap

So whilst watching expendables 3 last night I was lamenting the fact I couldn't integrate and fixed blade. Then I thought of this

The CRKT Ritter MK5 needs work as it has no edge at all but it fits and is very discreet

That doesn't happen. Cut food, clean knife, swipe it across a steel and then store it. I don't have expensive kitchen knives but they are maintained.
