ST300 Modding Question
on: February 20, 2014, 06:37:59 PM
Looking for some help with an idea.

I'd like to mod a BO ST300 by swapping out the PE blade with the Metal Saw on the ST300 EOD.

Has anyone tried this?
Does anyone have an ST300 EOD and ST300 to compare sizes of tools to see if they would fit?

I don't have ST300 EOD yet and am curious if this mod is even possible before picking one up.

Pics would be awesome if you have the time.

Thanks!

Should be pretty straightforward. As far as I know both tools a the same length and the same thickness at the pivot. Good luck with the mod, the ST300 is one of my favorites.

Thanks for the info. The more I think about this idea, the more tempted I am to pull the trigger and buy some more tools...

I'd love a next size Leatherman down version of that to put in my Rebar.

Np. I put a surge bit driver in my ST300 in place of the Phillips and the can opener and it works perfectly. I don't see why the metal saw from the eod shouldn't work.

Now you've got me thinking of other mods...

I have an ST300 and Surge in pieces on the bench right now. I should see what I can cobble together.

That was on a Wave/Charge frame and you'd lose the inside too on one side I think.

Most of the pics are broken in that thread regretfully. :-\

How much does he use a hammer? What kind of work is he doing with it?

Some time he like have a small hammer to tap on small nails, nothing too crazy.
There is no way he willing to give up half of the tools for a hammer.

How about a universal tool adaptor with a modded end?
