Salutations from Romania (a tad late though)
on: February 23, 2014, 04:07:17 PM
Hi all, my name is Rares, I'm from Romania and I've been on this forum for about a month, but finally found the introduction thread  :-[

I was always fascinated by the gorgeous red shiny knives (loved my grandfather's Chinese rusted thing) and was the happiest when I saved the money and bought a nice shiny blue Chinese one about 8 years ago... whose scales cracked 20 minutes after buying it... also half the tools were unopenable so put it in a cupboard and abandoned the whole idea.
On November I asked my girlfriend to buy me a SAK for my birthday... the cheapest one she can find, but for it to be full sized and "original". Got a Spartan Ecoline, quality was great but something was lacking so I exchanged it at the store for a regular Cellidor Tinker and fell irremediably in love with the feel in the hand, the superb quality, the gorgeous looks, the click it makes, the usefullness it brings (never thought it could be so useful... am using it like 10 times a day and when not, I am caressing "my precious")

My burgeoning collection so far:
SAKs:
  • Red Cellidor Tinker
  • Silver Alox Classic SD
  • Blue Alox USB
  • Elinox Excelsior (I think)
  • Blue Cellidor Classic
  • Silvertech Signature Lite

Slipjoints:
  • Tekut Fairy
  • AK47 Switchblade Medium
  • Penguin Switchblade Small

Multitools:
  • Ganzo G2020
  • A hunting knife with replaceable blades with no markings

Others:
  • 2 strange one-pieces multis I have for 25 years
  • a Chinese Hobo Knife
  • a singleblade 58mm that used to belong to my mum
  • a Swisscard knockoff

Next on my puchase list (thanks to your bad influence):
  • Cases to showcase my toys
  • A proper MT - probably Victorinox Spirit
  • A 91/83 with scrissors: Super Tinker, Climber, Huntsman, Evogrip16 or 18
  • An 111mm OHO for hiking - Trekker, Nomad
  • A Delemont (sic!) Nailclipper
  • Probably A 120/130 Ranger with saw/metal file
  • An Edelweiss Red Classic
  • A Camouflage Spartan
  • A Tekut Pecker
  • A Balisong
  • A Push Dagger

Now only to find a robbable bank to afford all of these

PS: A Farmer.. will definately need a Farmer too ;)

welcome mate
Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible

"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

You're progressing nicely!  After a year here, you'll probably need to rent a garage to start storing them in!!  :ahhh :D
