Greetings from Switzerland
on: February 28, 2014, 09:01:37 PM
Hello everybody

I am 35, family man and live in Switzerland.

As a child I have grown up in modest relations.
But at the age of 8 or 9 years my father with me has gone to a knife store and I might select to me a SAK!
In Switzerland there is a saying: "A right boy has a SAK"
Anyway - I decided on the modell "Rucksack". But I thought my father this says is too expensive.
But my father has really given it to me! I felt like a king!
This knife was the most valuable one what I owned, and my love to the SAK `was born.
Later I bought many more SAKs, Swiss Tools, some knives from Böker, CRKT, Benchmade, Smith & Wesson, Leatherman, Laquiole and other.

The last 6 years I have been collecting only swiss alox knifes. preferably with advertising! I collect intense, and so my collection is growing of week to week. I did not count my knife, but there are many. I'm a real aloxoholic.
A highlight of my alox passion was the end of 2013: I have realized a own Alox special run shortly befor Victorinox stopped this.

Be a few months I make also SAK modifications.

As you probably noticed is my English still pretty bad, I'll work on it.
And now I have to read first time here.

Regards

Peter

Nett Dich bei uns zu haben, Peter.

Looking forward to seeing more of your wonderful collection.

I'm sure there are quite a few treasures in there. :D

Peter was kind enough in the past to let me use his pictures of that smooth ALOX Gourmet for the SAKwiki. :hatsoff:

Don't worry about the language, we can understand you just fine and the membership here is from all around the world so English isn't the first language for most of us.

If you have any questions or need help with the forum software feel free to send me a Private/Personal message in German. I'd be glad to help. :tu:

EDIT: Nate, here's one for starters. ;)

Wow, those smooth Alox scales are pretty amazing.  I've only seen them on 58 mm and 74 mm SAKs previously.  Really a nice way to do advertising.

I have seen some of the knives you posted and they are beautiful! Especially the stone-scaled one.
