The MP600s I've seen displayed in local stores had "USA" stamped on the handles.  Is this true of all MP600s?   I didn't see USA stamped on the Iraqi Freedom version you posted.

I do not have an MP600 yet, so pardon my ignorance about this.  Thanks.

It is there, but the paint does a very good job of covering it up. Likewise, it is on the other side which I didn't take any photos of.

A few more Old School Gerbers.

The top two pictures are the Touche' belt buckle knives designed by the master bladesmith Blackie Collins.

The bottom two pictures are of the Paul Knife designed by Paul W. Poehlmann, holder of approximately 20 patents for locking folding knives. This is his "Axial Locking Mechanism". This is the mechanism that made him famous among knife makers. This one hand opening mechanism is considered the smoothest and most precise ever designed. It locks the blade in the closed as well as the open position.

There were a number of unique designs during that period.Gerber made some of the best factory knives in the world in those decades before their purchase by Fiskars.

These Magnum knives are built like tanks.I bought this particular knife in 1983.I actually bought two and gave one to a person who worked for me and did an outstanding job that month.I've also given several of the belt buckle knives as gifts.
