Yes. It looks as a standard tool but the folding tamper is unusual. I've never seen any, my only folding tamper was embedded into a lighter.

It surprises me that smoking utensils aren't recognized. The world changes and isn't tobacco friendly anymore but the reason for this is that smoking has nothing to do with survival! The description of the tool as intended for survival is strange to say the least.

If you are a pipe smoker, possibly it could help in your survival. I don't know.  :D

Or you could puff on your pipe whilst pondering the best action to take to ensure your survival (and as you are smoking your pipe you have fire, so you're halfway there already  :tu:)

Lol!
But there is some truth in it. A few of us here smokes a pipe. And one of the great things about pipe smoking is that it slows you down. Pipe smokers know what I am talking about here. Pipe smoking is a slow process and give you time to think and a good way to relax and clear your mind. Maul things over in your head. It does away with the rush of the world. This will really help you in a survival situation. If anything, gives you something do.

Smoking is indeed a prerequisite for survival- a while back we were hit with a hurricane that knocked out power to most of the province for a week or more.  The day after it hit there were people roaming the street in feral packs, kind of like zombies, searching for coffee and cigarettes.  Deny people the ability to smoke and all of a sudden it's the Walking Dead.

Flitz works great for polishing and shining things up. Works really well for sak scales too.

Yes. It looks as a standard tool but the folding tamper is unusual. I've never seen any, my only folding tamper was embedded into a lighter.
Here is one that is a bit unusual:A folding knife/cigar punch with ivory handles and a folding tobacco tamper on the side.It slides to the rear and then pivots 90 degrees to use. Made by Brookes & Crookes;and old English knife concern and the master blade is etched:Royston's Halifax which I assume is probably a tobacconist.A nice old promotional gimmick.

...just wanted to add, but to me, it looks to be made in AUSTRIA, not Australia - would explain the Trademark in German (G.-Gesch - "Gesetzlich Geschützt" means "Protected by law" and is about the same as Pat. Pend. or Reg. Trademark)

And yes, most likely a pipe smokers tool.

You sure that is a cigar punch? If anything it looks like a cigar reamer/awl/draw tool or more likely a pipe pick since it is couple with a pipe tamper tool.
