Thanks! Yes This is the Old Timer version in Schrade's 1095....most the ones you find these days are the 165UH Uncle Henrys in Schrade + Stainless. They are still very nice just not carbon.

Jealous. My old schrade-Walden 147 is 440a I believe, gotta find an old carbon schrade!

That old Schrade+ ain't bad considering the era it was made but like you...I like carbon on most old stuff.

Not a fan of frn in general, or this application? I like the blackwashed versions of the shuffle  :drool: I considered the II, but since I got my shuffle for ~$5, I knew the value would feel different.

SG- yeah, as far as stainless goes I quite like it, I was actually able to put an edge on it, and it gave good sharpening feedback. But like you said, I'm a carbon convert! I blame you  :twak:  :cheers:

Here is the bag as it sits now. I bought the medical patch to put on my first aid kit, but realized it does not have velcro on the front. I might switch medical bags so I can use the patch or I might just not use it, but I will not be keeping it on the outside of the bag most likely. I have a Maxpedition vertical bag and a water attachment, but I already want to get the Maxpedition skinny for the side of the bag. I also bought some Blackhawk speed strips for attaching things without built in attachments. Once I get everything I will play with its configuration until I found what works best for me.

Torx T1-T8.


The smaller sizes (1-5) are hard to find so I figured I would buy some quality tools why I had the chance. I put together a whole Torx collection (not shown) of all the variations and sizes. There are some variations I still need.




I also got a cantilever tool box. I love the design of these. I got this one for $20.00 which is very reasonable and the quality is pretty good for the price. I had to tape the edges though as they were sharp. When you put the box down and push on the handle it opens all the trays on its own. When you pick it up it closes all the trays on its own. Very cool design in my opinion.

Like I said in another thread, we need more "I blame" emoticons. I was thinking about getting a better/brighter flashlight/torch/lantern and saw the captain's review of the Nitecore tube.

Well...

The other toy I got was a Kershaw Half Ton. I already had the One Ton, just missing the 3/4 Ton. Very cool little knife.

I picked up one of those sale for about $12 one time, and I was really impressed with it. Very smooth opening knife for such a cheap price, and the blade is OK for the money, too  :tu:

This one was €20. Hard to get folders here for the low prices you get at home, but I don't think it's too expensive. The deployment is really smmooth, great lockup. Like how the stubby handle fills the hand. Also very light.

Pictures coming this weekend when I start the cleaning process, but picked up off eBay a Rambler, Super Tinker (with a danged hook!   :ahhh), and an older Climber (no hook here!).  All are destined for mods this fall.
