New from NJ
on: March 26, 2014, 03:19:11 PM
It's my 1st post here.  I came specifically to peruse the SAK subforum.  I recently purchased a Victorinox Cadet Silver Alox and wanted to read more about it.  It joins my small family of SAK's, including few Classics, a Rambler and an Executive.

From what I can tell, as it relates to the Cadet, only the Silver, Black and Red versions are in current production.  Is that the case?

Hi and welcome.

One of the experts will be along shortly to give a proper answer, but Amazon and eBay offer options for NIB out of production models,SwissBianco has his own options too...

Welcome to the forum. :waving:

You wouldn't happen to be a flashoholic, wouldn't you? :D I think I saw that username on some flashlight related forums. We could use some help over at out flashlight subforum or if you just want to show off your, that's 8) too.

As for the Cadets, current production, yes, just silver, black and red, although there were a few batches of old production green and orange in the last few months sold through various vendors. Green is still available: http://www.ebay.com/itm/121291146246

There are a few other colors, some form limited 50 or 100 piece runs, some made for the US dealer SwissBianco, and in 2012 Victorinox did a special run of 5 colors without the keyring and with a small pouch they are mostly sold out but some are still available in Europe.

http://www.amazon.de/gp/product/B007MAXCAQ/ref=twister_B007MAXBTI?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Browse around the Swiss forum a bit or ask questions, bump old threads, ... we're a friendly bunch here and I'm sure our members will be happy to help you out.

You can find the variations on our sakwiki page:

Thanks guys.  I appreciate it.  Yes, that's probably me you saw on Candlepower Forums (CPF) and the CPF Marketplace, as well as a dozen other boards.  I use the same alias and avatar.  My flashlight addiction has lessened greatly over the last several years, so I don't post much concerning flashlight anymore.

Welcome to the forum.
I am across the river in Phila and worked a few days at the Campbell Soup plant a bit ago in the pleasant city of Camden.

This is the place for all things multi tool oriented.

That just might be the first time "pleasant" and "Camden" have ever been used in the same sentence.  History being made here today on MT.O!  ;)

Yes that was a bit of sarcasm because Camden can be a scary place.
