CK Universal Scissors
on: March 28, 2014, 04:39:54 AM
I've complained a lot recently about my overspent budget, but the $3.50 I paid for this little treasure was worth it.

CK Universal Scissors,  made in Germany,  the measurement marks  are in inches.

I wish I took better photos.  The detail you can't see is really neat :(

This last photo shows the inserts in the handles, one is a glass cutter, the other is a star pattern?

$3.50!!! :o :o Wow, talk about runaway inflation! Why, just a short while ago (January 1909 to be precise) those only cost $1.00 ::)

What is that, like 350% mark-up in 105 years? :D

Still and all though, for the Greatest of All Scissors I think $3.50 is a pretty good price. ;)

Mine are from Europe, hence the metric ruler instead of the inch ruler found on yours. Looks like everything else may be the same though?

I've seen a picture of the metal-tipped leather case. It looks just like mine, but with a shiny metal section on the end to prevent the scissor points from poking through.

Cartridge extractor? Yeah I think that is a bit of a stretch too. ::) :D

I'm very interested in the telescope on scissors.
Could you let me know the followings:
1. Is the number of the lens one or two?
2. Can you see the specific image in the scissors?
3. If so, what is it?
4. Or can you set your own image in the scissors?

Thank you.

Whoa! Necro thread, back from the dead!

Stereoscope, not telescope.
1. Zero
2. Stereoscope requires provided images.
3. Could be anything
4. Most images were provided by companies specializing in the dual images.

I think the sterocope claim was a stretch.
