Leatherman Bit Adapter
on: March 28, 2014, 05:37:44 AM
I did a quick 2 minute video showing the Leatherman Bit Adapter that you can buy for the Rebar, ST300, Kick-Fuse-Blast (anything that has the phillips driver).

It's awesome.

Will this one also fit on older models (especially my PSTII) ?

I don't own a PST but I believe they had a slightly different phillips driver… so I don't think so :(

I don't have the packaging anymore so I can't say.

The Phillips does not have the square shaft I see in your video. Is there a Phillips adapter (like a screw head) in the bit driver? It seems to me that the fit only comes on this 'shaft', not the cross-head. If this is the case, it won't fit  :(

But thanky ou nonetheless for your informative video!

Hey RT, there is no screw head up in the adapter. It relies on the square shaft. So doesn't look like it'll work for you.

Ok, thank you for clearing that up.

Well, I received my bit adapter today and have been fiddling around with it. I absolutely love it! The adapter itself fits snug inside of my sheath on one side (a Fisher bullet pen on the other) and the bit card goes on the inside elastic holder. Given this adapter, I wonder when I'll ever get back to carrying my Wave again. The Rebar now suit all of my needs so the Wave has been relegated to desk-duty... :D

I'm glad you like it :) I'm EDCing the same. Rebar, bit adapter and LM bit kit.

My bit extender locks into my Skele better than yours does into your Wave... might get sloppier over time though?

Mine was brand new though. I did just buy a charge... I should see how it fits in that. I've barely looked at the charge as the rebar stole the limelight.
