Peltier/LED flashlight

A high schooler combined a peltier tile, aluminum tube heat sink, and LEDs to produce a flashlight powered by the heat of your palm.

Interesting. :tu: I'd love to see some science data behind this stuff. And maybe how it would work in Canada. :P

Enki, I would suspect it would work quite well in Canada, as you guys get over freezing like five days a year or so, right?

Very interesting idea and I could see this as a actual flashlight concept if they fine tune everything and maximize output somehow. Kids sure are smart these days.  :D
