Very neat Bob. Now you just need about 50 years of patina on it and you're set.
Beautiful job on that bolt. It's similar to the bolt going through several Fiskars heavier-duty scissors/shears, if not quite as beefy:http://engineering.curiouscatblog.net/2010/11/12/fiskars-cutsmore-5-in-1-multi-purpose-scissors/It's amazing how much practicality is packed into that tool, I'd love one if you ever run into another!!!
Now that's how you restore a tool Good work, Bob.

Not sure if anyone has ever said that about a Hercules tool Neil. It has a ton of different functions certainly, but the logic of including them all onto one tool is a bit questionable. I suspect the whole device is just a good example of 100-year-old slick salesmanship (Look What All You Can Do With Just This One Tool!!) more so than a truly useful device. Which come to think of it, is not much different than some of the 20-in-1! and 30-in-1!! tools we see coming out of China nowadays! It is a pretty awesome contraption though. I'll give a shout if another one turns up
