I must be nuts, am I the only one who misses winter?

I do look forward to warmer weather, not having to bundle up and shovel the white crap, but in some sense, I do miss winter.

I dunno, winter activities just seem more fun than summer. While some may prefer peddling under sun blasting down and running with every piece of clothing soaking wet, I find it's a lot more serene to slide silently through forest, with occasional bird chirping and warm sunshine on your face, or the rush of strapping two planks on your feet and .

And best of all, NO BUGS!

But summer is coming, so going to enjoy the bright side, hopefully get into better shape and enjoy the street view of hot girls in short skirts and sport bra (while avoid getting caught by the GF).

You are not the only one. I tend to like winter over summer. But I don't like -30 F temps or shoveling show. But you are right. A lot more calm and quite. Fall is my favorite.

I'm really enjoying the 10-20C temps we're getting atm, it's not cold, but also not sweltering hot.

I love winter time and everything that comes with it. I hate the summer as I don't like the heat and I burn incredibly easy. the one and only thing that I love about summer is women wearing skimpy clothes. Go ahead ladies, call me a dog. The ones that wear the skimpy clothes know what there doing. If you don't wan't people to look then don't dress like that.

Summer summer summer summer summer summer summer. Then, summer summer summer summer, followed by summer summer summer.

Kayaking in the winter sucks. Snorkeling in the winter sucks. And here you get the joys of being wet while doing anything outside in the winter too, so pretty well everything sucks in winter except drunken snowboarding and sledding across the road from my house which is fun but kinda sucks the next morning when you start to feel those broken ribs.

I truly truly hate winter here in the UK.
Nothing to do with the cold or snow or even rain.

Its those long dark nights - God I hate it!!
For 6 months every year home life comes to a virtual standstill. Dark when you arrive at work, dark when you come home from work...rainy weekends.
So effectively its like a forced hibernation. 6 months of my life just wasted every single year!! ahhh

I don't mind winter overall- it just bothers me when it stays around this long. We had snow falling as recent as last week. And a blizzard the week before that.

I love winter and sadly here in Texas it lasts all of 5 minutes if I could move farther North I would. Heck if I had the option it would be winter all the time.

I'm a winter person, not that we get a winter in Florida. I wear shorts all year round, and if it does get too chilly, I throw on a hooded sweatshirt! I don't like summer, it's too bright and hot and I don't do well in the heat.

It's easy to be a winter person in a Florida winter. I was in Orlando in January one year and the locals were complaining about how cold it was. It was 17C, which is only a few degrees colder than much of our summer.

I like how everything looks in winter with a nice fresh blanket of snow. Then I have to go outside and shovel it, and that makes me not like it all that much.

I agree Derek. I think a fresh blanket of snow is a beautiful sight, until it's time to get up in the morning and go shovel it, clean off the vehicle, and then get ready for work and drive in it. The beauty fades pretty quickly in that case. If I know we don't have to get out the next morning for work, and can just enjoy the scenery outside without any worries, then that is great, but it doesn't happen that way often at all.
