I'm glad to say I can now join the Raptor club. I'll have some more comments later but I'm loving it so far!

For starters, it's extremely well built. It's built like a brick 5hit-house! Solid lockup of the scissor handles and easy one hand opening of the V-cutter. The scissors cut like butter. I used it to open a heavily taped envelope and found it to be a smooth operation.

The clip is positioned in a way to allow for pocket carry. It also has a lanyard hole at the top of one of the scissor handles. Another neat thing is the sheath allows for both folded and opened scissor carry. For those who may have concerns about having to open it in an emergency, this addresses that. Although, I find it an easy process to open the scissors when closed.

Overall, I can't think of anything that disappoints me about it. I definitely feel it was worth what I paid ($75 w/ 2-day shipping). Although, it is available at REI for $60!  I found this out after I ordered from Amazon  ::)  Anyhow, it's an excellent tool and I highly recommend it.  :2tu:

I'm going to hold off on getting one for the collection. It's a new tool and they may make some changes to it, never know. In the mean time, I plan to use this one every chance I get.  :salute:

They are on my Radar , but I would like to see a pair first . I own some pretty expensive scissors , as I do a bit of fly tying . If the quality's there , price isn't that big a deal . If I think of it logically , it's in the same range as what I've paid for some Knipex pliers .

There's a big difference between these and Knipex cutters.  These are meant for soft materials only- I wouldn't try to cut anything harder than the soft copper wire I cut last week with it, and I wouldn't try cutting that all that often.
