I would like to join this association. Here is my Blunt Carbide 600, and a Crucial adopting a submissive pose to the more industrial tool.

Very appropriate  :salute:

I just recently got my first MP600 (and first Gerber), thanks to WildJ3.  I do really like fiddling with the flicky pliers, to the point of annoying my wife ;)

My first tool was/is a MP600. I still have it, though shes in a bad way now. Probably the worst looking example out there :-\. Still though, I came to appreciate the industrial ruggedness and it survived being in the hands of a foolish kid for quite a few years mostly in tact.

Oh geez, I'm actually afraid to post it for fear of what the Gerber junkies may do to me. Next time I'm home I'll snap a few pictures of the old girl.

Did Gerber ever release a pro-scout with carbide cutters?

Absolutely. :)  There seems to have been a fairly small run of blunt nosed Pro Scouts with cutters, but the standard head with cutters seems to be much more common.

Oh boy.. I just joined this club. I just bought the OTIS IWCK, and it came with a Gerber MP600.
I haven't owned a full size Gerber MT in quite a while, I'm excited to see how it goes.  :multi:

I am very disappointed with this Gerber multitool. As you can see the grind on the plier tip is uneven. There is only one edge on the very corner where it touches. Did I get a bad batch or is the quality control terrible?

I've never seen nor heard of something like this on a MP600. Granted, mine is a bit uneven, but that's my own fault. It's hard to see on the pictures, but it looks like there's some kind of burr on the inside, at the very tip?
Either way, I'd try and contact Gerber - maybe send them an email with pictures. As far as I've heard, their customer service is reasonably good. :)

I was able to use the metal file one my Wave to fix the uneven grind on the plier head. All is well, I'll chalk that one up to a fluke.
