Tested.com's latest video is Adam Savage making himself a custom Multitool Belt Holster.

AND we get an answer as to what his favorite MT is.

He doesn't like kydex?  Its easily formable.

I like the wave over the charge as well.  :D

Cool video.  But I don't really dig the holster. I would have cut the top off of a Leatherman holster for a drop-in style holster, but that's not as much fun as making your own.

Great video  :tu:.

What I like the most about Adam Savage is the enthusiasm he displays in everything he does, he always looks like a child in a toy store.  I think that's maybe the main reason why I like his shows and videos so much, makes for great tv in my opinion  ;).

I think the thing I like most about this video is that Adam... fails. He messes up. And I think it's great to see someone with his level of skill messing something up, but knowing that he's just going to give it another go until he gets it right.

We so often only see the successes of folks that we can get so discouraged with our own flailing efforts at making stuff, but Adam and the guys of 'Make' just MAKE stuff. They don't always succeed, but they keep making.

Not a big fan of the sheath he made, I agree that kydex would have been better. But every time I see him making something I always have the same thought. I WANT HIS TOYS! :ahhh

Here is my answer......

After noticing Adam's original holster, in an older MythBusters episode, (maybe 2006-2007).  I paused the DVR to try and figure out what was reflecting light and hanging off of his belt.

Here is what I built, out of some scrap Diamond plate aluminum.

It is beat up and worn, but has been a good addition...

Jamie and Adam from Mythbusters are awesome. Adam's a skeptic/science enthusiast and a "maker" which is a term I'd only come across recently.
