Sweet thread :tu:  I have a few retired LMs, and am carrying the KF4 today.  I can't post any pics right now though, so I'll try to remember to do so tonight.

Today I'm carrying the original SuperTool.  It's funny, as I think the majority of what I carry (at least at work) are retired LMs (SuperTool, OG-Wave).  Even at home evenings after work, I normally carried a PST, and sometimes the KF4.

Yeah because those are the cool ones !! When I received my ST I was surprised with the locking mechanism, how you have to open another tool to engage the lock. Not sure I like that, but oh we'll !!

Yeah they are.  I do enjoy my BORebar and TTi too, but there's just something about those older LMs that I really like.  I agree about the locking mechanism.  It's not the most ideal or convenient to use, but I consider it an ok trade-off for the excellent old school LM quality.  The locks are solid, and give a good snap when each tool locks into place, which I love the sound of.  The tool is a solid beast, without being too bulky and heavy for my carry preferences. :tu:

This is a Bassett knife/multitool from 1976.  Bassett was founded in 1939 and I think they shut down in 2013.

20 year-old original Supertool that's been used and abused. It's been covered in paint, polyurethane and epoxy. I left it outside in the wet grass, and then tossed into the junk drawer without being cleaned and oiled (it didn't rust). I wish LM still made them like that.

About a year ago I used it to repair/clear the nozzle on one of my wife's perfumes, and it still smells like perfume.  :D

Sweet SuperTool Shamus :tu:  While mine hasn't seen 20 years of use, I can tell from how much I have used it in the last couple months that it is designed to do some work.

This tool was my only toolkit back in the days when I was living in apartments.  Since then I’ve obtained dedicated tools, but I still reach for the Supertool when I’m in a hurry. The file is dull, but everything else works just fine. I’m sure you’ll get lots of use out of yours. :)
