I'm posting this Throwback Thursday a bit early, but what the heck.

A somewhat throwback Delica and some sort of strange communication device from the past. Still works!

I bet most teens these days have no idea what a pager is and could not fathom only having this to get a hold of people outside their homes.

Some of you may remember if you entered a certain number when paging someone there were a few phrases you could get it to say instead of the normal call back number. I still have one on my pager from back when I was using it.

Lol,, yeah the wife gave me one so she could keep in touch, we came out with all the little number quotes to send if something came up.. The one guy I worked with drove machinery, and said how the hell are we suppose to hear or feel these things go off while driving? cause the company that I worked for also gave the foreman ones so that they could page them when they needed them to call the company. So he said they should have mini jumper cables attached so you can hook then up to your nutz and get shocked, then you'll at least know it went off!

I'm slightly late here, but here is my contribution. A somewhat oldie Spyderco and a strange communication device we used to use.  :D

Slipped in a battery and it still works and has pages from back in the day.

If you were "in the know" you could enter a certain code to say a select phrase.

I assume the kids these days would go crazy to imagine a pager as the only way to reach someone.

Dang, my pager didn't do letters, just numbers. We had a few codes but the only ones I remember are 911 cause well.. 1134=hEll, for pretty much a bad day, and 143, for I love you, since we still use it on a quick text or letter.. There were others the wife might remember but I don't..

Ok, it is throwback Thursday so here's a good laugh one.. It doesn't show a tool/sak but this is around when I first got my champion+! My grandfather probably has his on his hip tucked under his jacket or on the other side..
