Just watched the first episode of this show.

Gerber Blunt Nose.

Never heard of that show, but the guy picked a good one. 



I don't think they play it in my country.

They don't ? Its an American Show  . It aired last night in the UK on Discovery.

The premise of the show is that they take a person who is knowledgeable in survival, drop them off somewhere, and they have 100 hours to find their way out. Last nights show featured a former Navy SEAL.

I can't think why they thought that unsuitable for us Brits ? 
I've ben waiting for it's UK showing for ages, but I'm away from home at the mo, hope my sky+ has done it's thing

This is what I was wondering. Is it the exact same show just aired under a different name or are the people different?

Ah, ya the dude you're screwed shows were better than I expected.  The name made me assume they'd be kind of silly.

I like how they tried to hide survival stuff on them.

I was quite surprised when he pulled out that Gerber from its hiding place, and even more surprised when he pulled out the fire steel.

I have to admit I've been enjoying this show myself.   Last night was the turn of the British chap who managed to smuggle in what, I think, was either a Vic Forester or Trekker (Trailmater).  Didn't see the back tool so impossible to tell, though you clearly see the saw, black Nylon scales and non-OHO blade.  Quite where he kept it when being searched I don't think I want to know.

One thing I'm happy to note (with a touch of National pride  ) is that he simply didn't make any mistakes.  None of the other chaps could pick any holes in his decision making or practical skills.  I think I'm right in saying all the others I've seen so far have managed to produce at least one "WTF" moment from the rest of the players.

what struck me was the use of subtitles ! does nobody understand the 'posh' British accent any more ? time for more world domination I feel   

*foot note~ I was trying to save my 2000th post for something interesting, I know most of them have been junk so I wanted to do something cool but hey ho ! still working on some kind of celebration keep your eyes peeled for a lil' give-away or a quiz

The show aired in Germany too a couple of weeks ago and on fathers day was a day full of the episodes of this. I like the idea of this.
The survival duo is lame, but this guys are cool. I loved the episode where they dropped off the army scout in Bolivia (I think) and at the end he removed the sensors and waited for his mates to pick him up, while eating seafood
Cool was too how one of them made fire with a skateboard!
