I'm not really an expert on this, but I think you'd be hard pressed to prove that you carried this item for reasons other than using it as a (defensive or offensive) weapon... :-\

I am surprised it is US made.  :D
Maybe you can claim that it is a plastic hammer or a lens...
I would go, if I was that way inclined, with a metal knuckleduster as this looks like it could break and may injure the user.

I assume that the fact that it is not a common weapon may mean that the police will ignore it, assuming that it is just a piece of plastic, with no special purpose.

Also good for going through metal detectors, I assume.

Legal to own and keep at home...illegal to carry and use on the street ;)

Well look at that, something I am selling actually got some responses.

Not the kind I was after but thats fine haha, lads continue seems like your having a laugh. It was sold elsewhere, thing would have been more use to the wife than me.  :tu:

It is called a Stinger and was designed by James Keating if I remember correctly.
