Raukodur's 2014 Coin Design Choice Poll

Hi Everyone,
Now that the 2014 Challenge Competition is over, it's time to start properly finalising the winning designs.
For this reason I've set up this poll; for the community to decide which of these three slightly different versions of Raukodur's coin design is preferred.




A. is the original design, first seen back in last years coin design thread. Simple, with elegant symmetry.
B. adds a round attachment point, for use with pocket clips, or dangler type devices, so that they can't just slide around the whole slot.
C. takes the idea further with the two lower slots divided in two, allowing a better division of keychain items.



D. is a merging of designs B and C, while maintaining the symmetry of A.

Please vote for the design, or designs you would be happy to see made available.

(at this time it has not been confirmed that the winning challenge designs will definitely be manufactured, but it's looking good)

They are all nice and It's clear that a lot of thought went into them. For my "keychain" carry I would prefer B. Nonetheless, I would be happy with any of them.

Tough choice as they're all excellent designs.
I can't decide on any one particular design so I'm going for B & C.

I'd prefer to have B, but I like the cleaner look of A.

I'd prefer C, if it ever gonna be used as a 'dangler', the division for sure will help. :)
Merit Badges Participants shall carry and use one Soldier knife, the model of their choosing, for the duration of the 90 days and post a picture each day. Start a new thread and post a photo of an Executive or Director for thirty (30) consecutive days. In this challenge,  carry one(1) Pliers-based or Non-pliers multitool that we always have prejudice against, hate or even fear and post a picture everyday for 30 days Start a new thread and post a photo daily of any SAK 74mm or smaller ( you can switch it up daily ) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a 'folding hunter' knife that isn't a Buck 110 for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a challenge thread and post a photo of a Victorinox 91mm XAVT/XL/XLT, 111mm Workchamp XL, Wenger/Delemont S54/Tool Chest Plus or Wenger Giant for thirty (30) consecutive days Using EDC items randomly selected with a poker hand, post a photo of your EDC or a component of the EDC that got used during the course of the day for 4 weeks (or 30 consecutive days) Start a new thread and post a photo of the 111mm sak for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the minimal sak (2 layers or fewer) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate and contribute in Challenge thread and post a photo of either an Axe, MT/Folding knife or Fixed blade (picked at the beginning of challenge) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a Challenge thread and post a photo of a Spyderco knife for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate and contribute in Challenge thread and post a photo of a different blade each day for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a SAK Soldier for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate in a challenge thread and post a photo of a SAK Cybertool (any variant), Swisschamp, Champion or Toolchest for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Fieldmaster SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of the discontinued sak/mt for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of a fixed blade for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Explorer SAK for thirty (30) consecutive days. Start a new thread and post a photo of any gear for thirty (30) consecutive days during the MTo anniversary month. Start a new thread and post a photo of the leatherman (supertool, core, hacks) for thirty (30) consecutive days. Participate  in Challenge thread and post a photo of a Vic Spirit MT for sixty (60) consecutive days.

Maybe give it a bit more time and it'll become clearer.

That, or if it doesn't cost any extra, could we make the three designs and people buy whichever they want?

Also, could I suggest a fourth design, or if it is too late or not desirable, ignore it. The aim would be to keep the three faced symmetry, and so to modify design B by having the single hole in the centre of the slot on all three faces.

That would allow its use as a dangler, while making it more aesthetically pleasing.

Tofty, would you be able to create a mock-up of what that design would look like?

This. I like B and C but with B all of your items would slide onto each other. The C option would allow you to keep it divided and subsequently lay more flat in your pocket instead of a big lump of keys, tools, ...

I see a D option popped up in the options. :shrug:

As per Raukodur's request; here is the D option.



D. is a merging of designs B and C, while maintaining the symmetry of A.

This design should also help solve the clumping issue raised by enki_ck.

Seeing it compared to the others, that is the option I would prefer as the designer, and I would encourage everyone to vote for it  :D but I have no problem with this being a democratic process  :)
