My Coleman stove worked like a champ. It was cold and wet out so I did have to "prime" the generator to get it to fire up. I added just a bit of fuel to the burner top to help the generator light. It was in the 30's F so it's not surprising.
Once lit the stove did have some issues with the secondary burner but I may not have cleaned out that side as good as I thought. It acted more as a warmer but with cast iron pans this was not an issue.
These stoves are great for car camping and could certainly be used for emergency situations at home. The little fuel tank is good for about 2hours using coleman fuel. I suspect using the right pots and pans adds to this as the heat retention of my cookware was a bonus. I did use my stanley cook set and water boiled very fast ( I didn't time ) but we had coffee quickly.
I'll get the propane adapter soon enough but I continue to be very impressed with these stoves.
