I drove through Tennessee on my way to a small town in Georgia called Dalton when I was working a contract for one of the carpet factories there.  My off time was spent across the state line in Chattanooga as it was the closest city- about 30 miles away if I remember correctly.

I'm in Southeast Alabama but I have had occasion to roll through Tennesseeon I-24 on the way to Chicago. I spent an afternoon in Nashville once and liked it a lot, the scenery and overall culture was interesting and welcoming.

I live roughly 1 and a half hours from Nashville and Knoxville :) I have been working towards Knoxville for the last 2 years, I usually work around Nashville an I am back there now :D  The Guitar (as truck drivers call it) Nashville is not to bad of a place to work.  We usually build fairly good sized buildings in and around there :D

I visited Tennessee several times and just loved it.

Many places of great natural beauty - deep forests with lots of caves and springs (supposedly the most caves of any State) and of course the beautiful mountains in the East.

Also a great place for Civil War buffs - lots of history and battlefields to check out.  The people are friendly and welcoming to out-of-state visitors.

We lived in Nashville about 20 yrs ago.Mrs Bison worked Neuro at Vanderbilt Med Center, and I did some security work. This was back when Fate Thomas was Sheriff and Bill Boner was Mayor, around the time of the bingo scandal when the Sec of State committed suicide.Nashville had a very unique, friendly small town feel for a big city,

Yep.  Same situation in SE MO--oppressive heat right now...  There are four full seasons here in the southern midwest, that's for sure.

Yep miserably hot right now as we speak :D I work in Nashville and it is always 3-5 degrees hotter there than where I live :ahhh Of course in the winter it is also 3-5 degrees warmer as well so that helps make up for it a little :D
