Pocket clips on flashlights

I carry my Lenser P3 AFS P clipped to the inside of my cargo pocket so that I can get to it easily.  I like the light, but I think I would like the additional power and battery life of the P5 a bit better.  The problem?  No pocket clip.   

Is there a reason AA lights don't come with pocket clips?  Your thoughts.

My first thought is that it is not a universal truth that AA lights don't come with pocket clips.  Fenix LD12 and Streamlight ProTac 1AA both come with pocket clips, for example.

Lots of different AA lights have pocket clips.

Gerber's Infinity light also had a clip that can be put on many other AA lights.

Yeha, I'll say it before Gareth The Eagletac D25A also comes with a clip. So does the Thrunite T10S (maybe the other version, too)

Well done.   The ThruNite T10S comes with a pocket clip, but the standard T10 doesn't. 

Olight S15, Jetbeam BA10, KlarusP1A...the list goes on.   BTW av8r1, I do exactly the same thing at work so I know what you mean.  There are several lights over the years that I've had to dismiss for the lack of a pocket clip.

I would say that, for many of the ones that don't come with a clip, omitting them is a cost-cutting measure.  However, the vast majority of quality AA lights produced today come with a clip.
