Couldn't find one so thought I'd start. Here's mine, version1 ST1 on the left, version 2 on the right. All Schrade tough tools welcome!

What's the length of that tool when closed ?

What does it weigh ?

Will you post a pic of it closed.

It's about 10mm longer than the original supertool in the pic closed, open there's less in it. I make the weight out about 240g. It's a really strong tool. See this;

They still make the version 4 tool, I have one but it's a shadow of versions 1,2 and 3. If your interested in getting one just make sure it has U.S.A on the plier head, and your guaranteed one of the better versions!

I'm in, I have a couple (of dozen  :facepalm:  ).  I just can't seem to resist them when I see them on eBay.  I even have a DLC ST1 which is very 'cool' ( I like DLC, it just feels nicer in the hand than BO for some reason).

I agree about what rubbish the non-USA versions are - they look much the same but all the quality has been sucked out of them.

I'm in.  A while back here on the forum I got a practically brand-new series 1.  Neat, quirky tool.  :tu:  My boss carries a later US made one every day, he swears by it.

If you want the Craftsman 45471 relabel here's one on ebay that the seller will (supposedly) send to Canada:

I think the seller has quite a few of these but so far they have been selling for rather high prices.

Wow, good ones David! And yes, it is quite remarkable how much the ST5 and the Schrade Vice-Grip tools have been selling for. (puts me in mind of the Kershaw A100) :o

Okay, here's one you don't see every day: An ST2, in patriotic red, white, and blue colors :multi:

I had two of the original's, gave one away as a gift.
Also have a couple of the Tough Chip scissors-based tools.
I haven't even handled the non-USA made tools, so can't comment on the relative quality, but I think the models I have are great. Would love a slightly less "eclectic" tool selection though.

I don't know if this thread is for more than posting pictures of the tools, but my ST-1 got some use today. Fixed a lawn mower, disassembled(destroyed) a picnic table, and took down quite a few mounted items.

The other night I completely took apart and then correctly reinstalled an accordion door assembly for my friend with just the ST-1, the maintenance crew had done the opposite of fix it...

My reground and reshaped phillips has been working wonderfully, especially since I have no clue what I'm doing with a grinder.
