Just to be different I've taken some custom scales (thanks to Jerm) that were designed to be used with screwed pivots and "devolved" them to peened pins.

(Image removed from quote.)

From what material you do it?

These scales were made by another member here. They are injection molded carbon reinforced plastic.

This is his thread about the scales.

I like it.  :tu:  I would probably take it back to the handle to make it bigger though.

Interesting take on the Electrician JA - I bought one of these last year with the idea of using it as a wire stripper and I have to say I am not too happy with it.
The rounded part of the blade is to wide and the arc is too shallow - and the rest of the sheepsfoot blade makes it a little dangerous when rolling the wire around.
A much better design is the 'v' notch - like they have on the Swiss tools

So I would make a tool for the Electrician with a couple of v notches for cutting the wire and maybe also a non sharpened notch like they have on the bottle opener for actually stripping the wire.

 - Anyone else agree?? Or is my technique lacking ???

I tend to like the V notch, like on my Surge. But for big wire, I do like using the Vic.

The copper, brass and stainless, coupled with flawless construction, makes this heirloom quality IMO. Thanks for raising the bar.

Polished metals look so nice!  Ive been thinking about doing something like that but with some sort of metal inlay for the old cross.  Ti scales with old cross cutout and brass inlay might look nice too. :D

Copper cadet with a few friends.  My first time run black oxide on 84mm scissors.  Black G10 liners and to try to stay original, sandblasted to tumbled copper.  With the ebalde donor this was an expensive little build.  I will match it with the incoming run of black oxide for a rambler on my keys.

Nice sheet of BRONZE as my next material of choice.  I am phasing the copper out...
