This one with combo tool instead of opener and added pliers would be my desired one. Marvelous work, AML.

Alox Ranger:

Never thought about skipping that liner between file and saw. But it's interesting to see you've chosen the same tool order like me. A Saw in the middle would have been better, imho. But in that case there would have been too much compromises with the other tools.

What modifications were necessary to add the scissors, file, fish scaler?  I'm thinking of doing a mod on my old Champion and may have these blades left over for a future Alox mod like this.

I didn't have enough spare liners to put one in. :D

You could pivot the saw and file from the other end of the knife - that would put the saw blade in the centre and you'd have no interference issues with the other tools; but the saw tip has to sit between the high end of the liners and sometimes won't close all the way.  Besides, I like the file better than the saw so having that in the middle works for me.

File and fish scaler - no mods other than drilling out the hole.  Use a standard Farmer saw spring.
Scissors are a bit more tricky - as a minimum you need a Pioneer Solo blade spring and some reshaping of the pad  at the end to get it to close cleanly.  Or make your own springs like Syph does.

It is mine and it is modded does that count as my SAK mod?

Anyhow it is a Cybertool / Swisschamp hybrid. Think Cybertool with the mag glass and phillips layer added. Got it for Sir Mike in a lot.

My Champion went on a diet.  In addition to the homemade Yeoman and other custom Compact models I have planned, I made a simple one layer; large blade, small blade with corkscrew.  Still need to set the scales with a vice.

This one will probably be an alternate daily beater.

But the Champ is such a good SAK.

This makes me a sad panda.

Well, it was a well used knife and I plan on making 4 or 5 different knives from it.  It's still around in spirit.

This is the completed Yeoman I did first before the one-layer posted previously above.  I'm pretty amazed at how forgiving the Cellidor design is.  I wasn't really happy with my riveting job on this Yeoman. I started out with the pins being too long, when I started setting the rivets.  I may revisit this Yeoman again after I get more experience and re-work the riveted bushings.  I put more effort on the one-layer knife in getting the pins filed down close to the bushings and was happier with the results.
