The parcel hook is also pry bar/ flat screwdriver http://forum.multitool.org/index.php/topic,5287.msg1365950.html#msg1365950
The corkscrew was replaced by awl.
Other tools: scissors, blade and... fork

I do not know if it's feasible.
But there is little to be something to do on the heel of the hook to avoid the right left movement.

The mod is nice the fork makes smile

Hello,

wanted to make interchangeable scales from wood for my Executive. A change of the liners was necessary, now they are from thick brass, the scales are screwed on. They are of Red Shisham.

I recently traded a Grand Prix mod with Gareth but decided I missed it so built another.

Used a file spring that can accept a back tool and fitted the flat driver instead of the chisel.  No nail file hook on this one, unfortunately.

Love this! I've been considering buying an actual vintage Grand Prix (with the fine driver on the back of the file, it won't have the hook, though), really like the tool combo on this

I would say the screws make it much easier.  I have no experience with pin work, but it sounds like a bit of a pain to me.  This was the first tweak I've done, and had no issue with it.

What screws are that, pls? I'd like to do some modding of my own and using screws seems to be much easier than the pins ... :)

Those are what Syph007 uses, I think he mentioned his secret in And so it begins.... (My adventures into Alox!). They are not necessarily any easier than pins however, at least not if you're modding for your own use, since it requires drilling out the rather hard tools to make them fit. I believe they are 1/8" instead of the standard 2.2 & 2.5 mm but I'm not certain.

Oh, drilling out the tools? I don't want to do that ... :o

If you can source the pinstock or if you are only planning on removing layers the actual work is not that difficult (although it's preferable to work with Cellidor since that hides any imperfections).

For some time I wanted a Compact pattern in 84mm.
I started this mod with 84mm Waiter, 91mm scissors with parcel hook (the parcel hook was already modded to pry bar) and aluminum plate from ancient hard drive  ;)

The hard part is to drill in victorinox steel… I give up the idea to make a new hole in the scissors and just enlarge all holes to 3mm (destroying cobalt drill bit in the process  ).
Whit the new scales I assembled back the Water and started the scissors spring mod

When I finish to balance the spring tension I will put the permanent bolts (they will be aligned
With the scales) and a cross on the scales  :D

A good friend bought a 2nd hand Compact and asked the seller to ship it straight to me for some mod...

A simple hack to morph it into a Trail Guide with a fine screw driver on the back of the metal file. This is actually my first mod for 2017.

It is now on its way to my friend to serve edc duties.

I like what you did there! I also have a question about the fork. The answer may be in the video but my PC doesn't have sound, so: Is that a Mikov fork? And what kind of spring is it on? Do you think it could be fitted in a 84 mm knife?

Yes, it is Mikov, spring is from Victorinox, I don't remember from which tool (yes, I have big mess in my pocket knife parts) :-)
84 mm: maybe with huge regrind, and drilling hole for pin in completely different place, bcs this fork is quite big.
If you live in Germany / Austria, maybe you can find polish knife Gerlach with fork, it's lot closer to 84 mm size.
Or maybe form from Richartz, but I'm not so sure...
