A while back I did a Bladeless Rambler (from leftover parts at that time) for my 7yr old son. Nail file with pointed tip instead of the blade. I wasn't that satisfied with two nail files...

Since I recently got a Minichamp fodder, I took some time over the weekend to disassemble it and make a version 2. And here it is. Now there's only 1 nail file and a ruler/flat sd. Also rounded off a bit the scissor  tips.

Here's a side by side comparison.

I found this old 84mm Victorinox Recruit for 5 EUR. The cap lifter has no 90° lock which means this cute knife is 30 years or older. I removed the scratches from the tools with some 400, 1000 and 2000 sandpaper. Then I realized that the Victorinox shield is on the right scale. I decided to keep that one and modified it to plus scale (pen and toothpick) and for another 4 EUR I get new left scale with metal Victorinox shield, pen, toothpick and tweezers. Now the old Recruit has 2 tone plus scales with old and new Victorinox shield - pretty unique

As described here, I've been creating a couple of custom knives.  I call this one my Cyber Climber Plus.  There's a hook and awl on the back that I forgot to open for the photo  ::).

Looking good, Gents :tu:

I've cobbled together a scientist from champion + compact leftovers. The old plus scales are attached temporarily while I wait for the mailman to bring me ruby replacements.
Next project will be a bladeless craftsman. (Perfect manbag companion to the pocketable scientist)

Recently found the time to complete this build... Dismantled a Swisschamp and took out the fish scaler and pliers, replaced the small blade with an inline awl and replaced the multi-purpose hook with that from a Compact...

It doesn't have a name yet and will give Poncho the honors since he's building a similar one.

It's kinda like an Expedition Lite minus the LED, a ranger with inline phillips, a woodsman with metal saw, or a modeler with wood saw...

It's a not-quite Champion as it's missing the scaler. Very usable tool set on that one.

Combining motorcycle key into SAK, hand scale using wood with grafir.
The opening magnet is made into a bead.
I use a mini tinker by replacing the small blade with the combo tool.
