2013 MT.O coin Geocaching travels.
on: June 21, 2014, 11:19:11 PM
I have a few great friends who are into geocaching big time. Last year, when those MT.O coins were produced, I had set one aside for them to be used in one of their geocaches. Well I guess they did one better and made it trackable. It is now in the wild.

This could get interesting.  :tu:

This looks very interesting.

I only logged some caches in the immediate surrounding. I wonder if this coin will make the jump across the pond to Europe?

Great!  :tu:

Many years ago I randomly found a cache while rock climbing.
I was hooked and spent way too many hours looking for more.

Maybe I should introduce the kids to the game.

Yes, very cool hobby. I wish there were more caches around here. I'm thinking of getting myself an Garmin etrex 10 or similar (powered on AA, non touch screen) and finding a few more, maybe making a few too.

This thread made me create an account on geocaching.com . Already have targeted 3 caches for tomorrow.

Thank you MTO for starting me on another time-wasting, money-spending, social-awkward hobby...

I bought a Garmin GPSMAP 78s with the idea of starting geocaching once again...but I don't have the time to do this justice. I guess I needed a  handheld GPS anyhow.

Found my first two caches today.

Love geocaching. Finally have a proper reason to wander around the streets, climb rickety things, pick up junk and altogether look like a creeper.
