Lake District Hike
on: June 29, 2014, 10:22:35 PM
Went walking in the Lake District last Saturday, just outside of Patterdale. Did a 9 mile circular walk, taking in Angle Tarn and the surrounding countryside. Glorious sunny day, so peaceful.

Wore my old ones. I didn't get the new ones until after this trip. I have another outing planned for next Sunday, so will test drive them then.

In terms of tools, I had a Vic Huntsman and a Rebar.

Not wanting to be rude... just curious  ;)
But why would you need a Rebar for a hike around Patterdale/Angle Tarn  in the Summer?
Seems like unnecessary weight in your pack!!  ???

I'm never without my Huntsman on a hike - But don't even take a pliers based tool on winter mountaineering trips!

Each to their own. I like having a plier based tool. I find the weight negligible.
