Update: I spoke to my local Vic retailer today and he informed me that this model does not yet appear in his supplier`s catalogue. The supply chain here seems to be that SAKs are imported by a company called Burton McCall who then provide independent wholesalers who then provide the retailers. It could be weeks before this model is released into the market, if ever, it depends on demand I suppose.

I don`t know where the London flagship store fits into Vic`s retail strategy, I suspect it is a satellite of Victorinox Switzerland, has no connection with the importer and plough their own furrow. I will email them to see if they know anything about it. TBC.

I think its funny. First they released a limited run of 50 pieces, and now they made them unlimited available. Ok, this one has the keyring :-)

I think its really cool that they stopped producing limited runs for some sellers like swissbianco. Instead they will release every year some unlimited alox runs I`m pretty sure.

And + that expensive shipping, right?

$39 / 35 Swiss Francs and they'll probably be even cheaper when they hit the shelfs and eBay here.

I asked my retailer and he doesn't know whether they will be a special edition or become part of the standard sortiment.
The delivery date he got told for Germany is end of July.

Just picked up mine. The store owner (the one who knew about this pioneer in Mai) said that this one will be in production until further notice (like all other Vics, basically), so there is one for everybody.

@ ebarberena: Beside the keyring and the engraved blade both knives do not differ.
I suppose that the special Alox runs paved the way for Victorinox to release the knives now unlimited.
