My Gerber
on: July 13, 2014, 05:11:17 AM
hi, These are my Gerber. I am sold with the one hand operation plier.
I am in to fishing, so holding the fish in one hand and operating the the gerber on the other hand is very convenience, unlike others where you need two hand to open the plier.
 1. is Gerber 600 bought 12 years ago.
 2. is Gerber 400 just bought yesterday.
 3. is cheap $8 multi tool.

Welcome to the forums. Have you seen the Gerber MP600 Fisherman yet? It has a nice long pair of needle nose pliers designed for fishing.
A little Leatherman information.

Welcome!  Love the MP's, great tools.  :tu:  The Balance is a great little tool as well, too bad Gerber hasn't released a set of bits that fit the drivers.  :(
There's no such thing as "Too pretty to carry".  There's only "Too pretty NOT to carry"...... >:D

Both Leatherman and SOG have one-hand-operable pliers. The Leatherman OHT is an obvious example. It has spring-loaded pliers too. Woo-hoo!

By the way, what is this land of thieves in which you live?

I lived in the stolen county. Singapore
hmm Leather man? I tested the popular wave today. it is not smooth.
I saw in youtube they compare the leather man equivalent with gerber Dime.
The Gerber win. It depent on you, beauty is in the eye of beholder.

Just check online the Leather Man OHT dont have scissor. Which is a must
for me.

today I went to the shop and bought a Gerber balance.
Seem it is the right tool for me. But it is made China.
it did'nt come with sheath. It is the right tool because
it fit my need. The plier is very easy to deploy. The
Scissors is easy to pull out. Pulling the knife is same
like others but blade is big. The screw driver bit can be
pull out. I bought those generic bit and grind it to fit
the tool. So now I have Trox driver bit which I used at
work to open machine. It also thicker than my Gerber 400.
One of the screw driver can't flash in. The made in
China is bugging me.
