007 - Toolslinger - opening packages and trimming threads

013 - Freaver - Only just started EDC'ing a pair of scissors today, on a fake SAK; I'm in dire need of quality-scissors!

024 - Top-Gear-24 - trimming all the long beard hairs that my beardtrimmer missed.

042 - Claws42 - SAK scissors, cutting anything from paper to zip ties. A lot of plastic ties.

054 - CanadianLMfan - I use my scissors to cut paper, string, cloth, and other stuff like that.

117 - kkokkolis - SAK scissors for everything, 30 years in a row

134 - Monrogue - I typically use them for whisker trimming the most  frequently, and my wife asks for them for various tasks often.

136 - pfrsantos - cutting threads from clothing, repairing broken fingernails.

148 - Powernoodle - opening packages, as you have more control than when using a knife

220 - styx - i actually use 'em mostly for small wires and trimming my beard

225 - Squinty - blister pack opening, canvas, thin wire, cutting stems vines away from my chain link fence, theoretically clothing in case of emergency, trim plastic replacement tubing on restaurant dishwasher, zip ties

236 - daverobson - As an electrician (35 years now) I find that I'm using scissors almost every day. Cutting thin wire, plastic cable ties, opening spare part packages as well as the usual tache & nail trimming duties.

240 - Dragon Lord - cutting paracord, duct tape, cloath thread

250 - microbe - cutting some renegade nostril hairs

277 - detron - mainly it is papercraft for my kids, but also: zip ties, boxes, duct tape, coupons, and a bunch of misc stuff here and there.

300 - Capt. Spaulding - Use SAK scissors to trim beard hairs every day.

311 - Havoc - Trimming loose strings, almost daily.

313 - Crow - SAK or Multi scissors for precise cutting. Usually paper, nails, facial hair, cord. Much rather use scissors especially when my toddlers are near.

321 - Migripper - this would be for my wife clipping coupons

391 - derekmac - I use my SAK or MT scissors mostly for clipping small zip ties.  I also cut my nails with them at work since I usually forget to do it at home with proper clippers.

402 - Act2uToo - Trimming nails, various stray hairs (nose, ears, eyebrows).  Cutting zip ties, packaging of all sorts.

425 - dks - trimming ear-hair with the Vic manager

454 - chivaceae - I use my SAK scissors almost everyday, from trimming cuticles (mine are continuously thorn), fingernails, unwanted mustache, nostril and ear hairs (), plant leaves (I do research on plants), tags/labels (particularly those on clothing from my wife and son), cutting paper and adhesive tape, etc. Definitively by far the most used tool in my SAKs.

456 - Nhoj - I use multitool and sak scissors for many uses a day. While it only represents a small part of what I do with them I think my most frequent use is clipping finger nails or opening packages.

493 - Etherealicer - Micra / Classic, cutting cloth for a review, just this once

GREAT giveaway!

I will sit this one out, since I have the TiNi Crosscut AND a Crosscut 2.0.

I reread my review, and I think I've warmed more to the tool since writing it. I really put it very near the Micra as far as actual functionality. It's really a matter of whether you want a toothpick or philips driver. I tend to use a toothpick pretty regularly, so I carry a Crosscut over a Micra.

Thanks to SOG, and MTO!! Best of luck to all who enter. Whoever wins should be very pleased with this one. :tu:

233 - SurvivalEDC - fingernail clipping. Seriously. :)

379 - jerseydevil - Scissors get used every day at work to cut coupons, wallpaper samples, etc.  Fingernails are a regular duty as well.

This is a long list!  :o

083 - Vladimir - I use my scissors daily, but one of the most important jobs is trimming my beard and nostril hairs.

100 - RT1969 - Vic Classic scissors get used on fingernails and toenails (after shower) frequently (fold out the nail file for more leverage - rotate tool for filing, then rotate again for the next finger). Next often use would be cutting labels, yarn, etc. - I use the blade for most other cutting tasks.

175 -stealth007s- cutting nose hairs, opening mail/ packages, opening cigar boxes, clipping thread

182 - rdub934 - mostly for cutting strings off my uniform

201 - Pacu - cutting monofilament when fishing.

220 - styx - i actually use 'em mostly for small wires and trimming my beard

225 - Squinty - blister pack opening, canvas, thin wire, cutting stems vines away from my chain link fence, theoretically clothing in case of emergency, trim plastic replacement tubing on restaurant dishwasher, zip ties

321 - Migripper - this would be for my wife clipping coupons

333 - mrynnr - used scissors for wrapping paper, nails, paper, loose thread... Pretty much anything really

379 - jerseydevil - Scissors get used every day at work to cut coupons, wallpaper samples, etc.  Fingernails are a regular duty as well.

391 - derekmac - I use my SAK or MT scissors mostly for clipping small zip ties.  I also cut my nails with them at work since I usually forget to do it at home with proper clippers.

To everyone:
Thank you for all your bytes and minutes spent here, for making this one of the best places in the www!
So let's raise your glasses for all the former members (may they not rust anymore), the current members (may they not loose their edge) and those to come (may they share our vices)!
