Anybody ever try these?
on: July 19, 2014, 11:09:38 PM
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rough-Rider-RRCS3-Custom-Shop-Stockman-Kit-Makes-3-7-8-Closed-Stockman-W-Stai-/380953029866?pt=US_Knives_Tools&hash=item58b291ecea

My first attempt was not so successful. I blew off the shims when peening, never needed them on a SAK. I didn't get the bolster pins hidden. I kinda of lost interest after that. I wasted that kit. It needs a ton more sanding and polishing. The knife works nice, but looks like poo. I like running up to the wife and try trying to cut her. All the blades are unsharpened and dull as fork.

Knifekits where I buy all my knife making parts has quite alot of kits if you're in to those kind of thing.  Quite a few different types and some classic designs.  The steels are usually 440 so not too bad.

Interesting game.  :)

Had a friend build one of these kits, he then gave a great demo of how blunt it was by slicing his thumb open.

Such good times.  :)

I'm looking forward to making up the klecker knives kids kit that I recently won. It is going to be awesome fun.

These blades are as sharp as the backside of a SAK saw.
