Help me identify a beer
on: July 20, 2014, 11:11:27 AM
The screen-shot below is from "Death in Paradise", one of two things my GF absolutely loves. The second is beer (We used to have a flat with view into a brewery :D). Anyway, I wanted to gift her the beer they drink in death in paradise but can't seem to find anything about it on the Web.

So does anybody know if this is the real deal? Does this beer exist? Any information would be welcome. The beer is called Etensel.

Sorry for the bad pictures, try to find a better picture to take a snap.

Thanks,
I have that suspicion too, since I cannot find anything on it on the web.

If you can't find it on the web, nobody can. Nice to see someone doing something nice for their other half.  :salute:

I don't see it on the list of fictional TV beverages but it just probably wasn't added yet.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_fictional_beverages#In_television

Everything you see on TV has to be paid for by the companies for advertising. If no one pays, they use fictional brands. Product placement is a big part of TV and movie budget. Remember Wayne's World. >:D

Maybe you could find a better picture of the label, edit it a bit, print it out and apply it to another beer bottle. ;)

Maybe contact the production company and ask (nicely) if you could have a label ?  That way you might get a genuine (fake) label.

+1     it's nice to hear tales like this.  Small things like this can be a great promotional plus for companies, more should realise it. Like giving away stickers.

This should make a great personalised gift for your GF Etherealicer

So, made the first prototype 8), will have to switch from 0.5 to 0.33 liter bottle, for better proportion (bottle to label).

And thanks to the eps-file I was able to customize the back label.
