Nice little test Zed Between this and Joel's ongoing MP600 review/challenge, I'm beginning to think I may want one...bunch of enablers around here Can you tell me how much the MP600 weighs by any chance? Without the extra dirt of course
Sorry mate ive no way of weighing it,ive never been a gerber fan as prefere lm's as find that lm's might not be the smoothes in operation but the tools all work great, this thing is rattly and not perfect but it operates well even covered in crap and the tools do the job, still prefer my wave but bet it wouldnt operate as well covered in mud
According to Gerber's site, the current MP600 weighs 9oz.
Rattly just means it'll work better when dirty, more clearance between parts. 1911's and AK's rattle just for that reason.....
Ok good, I had the right idea then. Not that my MTs typically get dirty in my limited usage and office setting. Still, the idea of OHO flicky pliers seems fun
I seriously can't believe you don't already own an MP600 with all the MT you own. Might I suggest one in Black Oxide though. Their stainless is a little... bland.
I love my 600 but my daughter got hold of it the other day (she's 17, just for the record) and I was amazed how quickly the 'flicking' noise got on my nerves hardly noticed it while I've been playing though
I don't share my MT's with anyone! Most people just don't understand how to properly operate/handle them.
still trying to convert us? well JD finally used 2 words that got my attention - 1911 and ak47
Well couldnt wait any longer ok dug the mp600 out and with it filled with dirt that was very damp i tried to flick the pliers out, thet came out half way so banged the handles on a wall and tried again and perfect, all the tools also opened perfectly,i guess this wasnt much of a test for the mighty mp600 if i had a spare i would of left it all summer basically caked in mud this thing still works
