Hello from Germany
on:
July 23, 2014, 08:51:55 PM
Hi guys!
I just discovered this forum. I´m a knife collector / user / nut almost for a long long time.
But SAKs / MTs are steady fellows for me. My very first knife was a SAK (Huntsman - old version).
Please excuse my (sometimes) bad english language, but german is quiete different to english.
I´m looking forward on nice discussions.

Thanks for the kind replies and the warm welcomes
Much appreciated!
I gonna do some pics of my old Huntsman ASAP. I got it about 24 years ago when I was a boy and we visited Switzerland. My dad gifted it to me there. I remember clearly that he was asking me if I want to get a watch or a pocket knife and I thought "... what should I do with a watch, but a knife..."
Hehe...
... I carried it daily and was the hero at school. It survived my travels and my movements to Munich and finally back home. Made a great job in any way.

Solving problems you didn't know you had in the most obscure way possible
"And now, it's time to hand this over to our tame race axe driver. Some say, he can live in the forest for six months at a time without food, and he knows of a secret tribe of only women where he is their God. All we know is, he's call the Styx!" - TazzieRob

Thanks for the kind replies
I have first to apologize, the Huntsman I have is the current version as it almost has the parcel hook. (I always thought it doesn´t) - Sorry for the wrong terrm in the first post
Well - as promised here are two shots of my very first knife. My dad let me engrave my name on the cellidur scales. It was white when I got it, but almost bleached out during time.
My son is five months now and I got him one of the Black Alox Pioneers as his first pocket knife. I will eventually let engrave his name on the knife as well.

Welcome aboard!
Don't worry about your English skills, like others have said. Being from New Jersey, there are people here who would think I don't speak it at all....
