Just plain crazy - I love it.

Edit: I guess it will work fine once cleaned and oiled after you dig it out.
It will show rust specks, but only a few.

Hopefully you do not have a local kid with a new metal detector! You will have to inspect the site DAILY for soil disturbance! Or better yet - A WEB CAM!   -  :facepalm:

Anyone want to bury a Surge, Powerlock, and Swisstool for comparison sake?

Anyone?

Bueller?

Rdub, I could almost be talked into that.  As a general rule, though, I try to limit myself to one incredibly stupid thing at a time.  So for now, I'll just stick with the MP600 and see how that goes.   :salute:

Just checking in.  We are at the halfway mark, and all lights on the control console are still green.

I think it'll come out in as good as condition as it went in. That is, once you shake the dirt out of it.

Okay, so I did this to my victorinox a few years ago on accident, while gardening, no sheath. I found it a week ago and am absolutely amazed, I tossed it in an ultrasonic parts cleaner, and it emerged like this;

Its Flash aahh-ahhhh, saver of the Universe... wait, I got derailed in my own post.

I don't see YouTube videos on this site because I have deactivated Flash, the one posted above, which shows is Vimeo and displayed as HTML5, that's why it works.
If you use iPhone, iPad or iPooped you won't see Flash-videos

It wouldn't be the internet without people complaining.
