Hey guys,I have a Macbook pro that is dead. The logic board is shot (I think) It does not power up at all. The hard drive is out of it. BUT the screen was fine and the keyboard and touch pad worked fine.If anyone can use it, let me know. You can have it for the cost of postage. It's 4 years old, if that helps. I can post pictures if that helps too.
I don't know what it's like for you guys over there, but a logic board (without installation) is the same price as a new machine. I was quoted $2,000 for a replacement for my 15" MBP one.

One day, it just wouldn't turn on. At all. (although the battery level lights work). For 1/4 the cost, I bought a Samsung Tab S, which is 90% of an entry level laptop at a fraction of the cost. It may be the last $ Apple ever sees from me. That same Macbook Pro went through 2 hard drives and one screen while under warranty. Clearly a lemon from the start.
Nate, could you tell me the model # of this one? I found out that my brother inlaw has one, with what he thinks is a dead screen.
