Spartan scale mod?

Just picked up a 2012 spartan, and would love to dump the red scales in favor of something better looking. Perhaps alox in black or a TI setup.. Anyone do this?

There's quite a few people round here making wooden scales.

Alox or Ti would have to be made custom, as well, there's no standard 91mm sized alox or Ti scales. Syph did some test-pieces with home made alox for 91mm knives, and does some cool Ti conversions, too, you should look up his thread ;)

If you can live without the small blade, corkscrew, toothpick and tweezers, get one of the new black Pioneers.  Beautiful little knives.

A el cheapo knife called the Appalachian trail can be used for Alox scales on the 91mm.
