Many of the other forums have a topic with this title.  Obviously if the seller gets their price maybe it wasn't unrealistic.....  With vintage and antique tools getting a high price is often just a function of finding the one person that needs your item to complete a segment of their collection.  Lately I've seen some unrealistic prices so I'm going to post a few here as I see them starting with this one:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/ANTIQUE-EIFEL-MULTI-TOOL-AMERICAN-PLIERENCH-BOTTLE-OPENER-SCREW-DRIVER-/380969136673?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_0&hash=item58b387b221

And it has rust spots on it.  If this prices is good I can sell mine and buy a handful of OHT's.  I'm watching this one closely....

There was some very serious bidding for this old W H Morley MT, and it ended up selling for U$ 1,225.00

I was quite interested, but I was left well and truly in the dust for this one  :(

Just noticed this one on eBay:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/331911383189

$250 B-I-N for an early SOG ToolClip !!!!

I know they aren't seen for sale that often these days, but $250 seems quite optimistic to me.

Apparently if you put RARE and DISCONTINUED in the title line, you can get ask a lot more money for it! :ahhh

Fixed for you  :pok:

I think that is an extremely optimistic asking price (and that is being nice)
