Fun with a 40 year old Russian camera lens

Just as the title states.  A Helios 44M-4 from the late 70s shot wide open on my Fujifilm X-A1.  Picked up this little baby for $40 off of Craigslist

Thanks y'all.  I have to say the capability of this lens absolutely blew me away.  I mean, I knew the lens was supposed to be very good (it's a copy of a Carl Zeiss Biotar) but I was surprised just how good it is.

That looks great. Got to love the older lenses...at least they give you a nice depth of field scale if nothing else.

And a couple more.  One more leafhopper (these things are infuriating to try and photograph) and a honeybee with an oddly white thorax instead of yellow.
