I think this may well be my last storage expansion.

I was in Sears today and noticed a nice 6 drawer Craftsman tool chest for only 199 bucks! That is dirt cheap, and I couldn't resist. The chest was on clearance, and it was also their last one. Better yet, because of a dent on the front, I got an extra 10% off. Can't complain with that. I can fit most of my Leatherman collection in it...which will give me plenty of expansion room down the road for other things.  :tu:

That sure was a great price, I've never seen them that low either in US or here in NZ...but you'll run out of space in your garage soon, no? ;)

Did you strengthen the foundation of your house first to make sure they can hold the added weight of the eminent expansion? ;)

That was a great price indeed. :tu:

Yes, at that price, I wasn't going to leave it there for some other go lucky smurf to grab.

Smokin deal Dan!!  I would love to catch a deal like that for my work toolbox.  I think I paid over $500 for half that much space.

2 things:

1. To take a group shot Chako first needed nothing, then a chair, then a ladder, now a helicopter.

2. If you do run out of space in that chest feel free to send things to me for indefinite storage

That's a great because he was having trouble finding a helicopter pilot who was willing to risk flying at the minimum elevation needed to get the entire collection.

My days of taking a whole collection shot went by the wayside back in 2010.

They also have the bottom half for a whole $299 which is a steal of a deal. My local Sears only has this bottom half as I didn't have the space for another tool cabinet and chest set. My taller units cost me 800 for both top and bottom units. This clearance chest appears to be made by the same company, and also was great as it features 6 shallow drawers which is hard to find in tool chest...but great for displaying multi-tools. So not only was it a great price, it is also a great design for what I am using it for. Win win.  :tu:

Those who are in Canada, you may find one in your local Sears.

Yes, I rearranged the tools in order to give me more expansion room inside the tool chest for future acquisitions.  :)

Nice toolbox, I'm jealous! I need one myself just for house tools. Right now our stuff is scattered in various small handled toolboxes around the garage and I'm dying to get some proper organization.

Shallow drawers are hard to find.  I'm a machinist, and 95% of my tools fit in shallow drawers, I only need one or two deeper drawers in a toolbox.  I needed a full stack to house my tools for work, but since I couldn't afford to drop more than $1200 on a Kennedy stack I had to go Craftsman.  It could be better, but my chest/chest/cabinet combo works pretty well.

Are you planning a drawer by drawer walkthrough any time soon?  :pok: :D
