Since we're at it, perhaps I could get some input from our resident bike experts... I'm thinking about getting myself a nice new bike. I used to have a BMX back when I was younger (pre-college, that is...) which I rode everywhere. I'm thinking about getting myself a trekking bike now. Anyone has any good pointers on this matter?

SWMBO and I rode kananaskis yesterday, we both have specialized bikes, hers is a hardrock, '09 model I believe and mines an fsr-xc. I just outfitted myself with some disc brakes last weekend, just cable but a huge step-up from my v-brakes I had previously. We biked about 20km in less then two hours with a few pitstops, beautiful day for September I might add. I'll fire some pics of the bikes later!
so i spend 2 hours cleaning my new racer this afternoon my mum comes home knocks it over and scratches it
