Lovely shots there mate :)

As for mudguards, I'm never without them on any bicycle I own, but then I hardly ever off road :)

great pics mate and i had a girvin flex stem on my old kona explosive  :tu: as for mudguards im with mike,i dont drive so am a cyclist and mudguards are a must unless you live somewhere hot and dry  :D i have full lengh guards on my road bike as i always did when i trained years ago on my winter bike as doesnt just keep you dryer but you dont throw water into your mates face  :D on my MTB's ive always used crudcatchers, i prefer the older race guards over the newer model as lighter and not as bulky looking,i have got a spare green rear crudcatcher raceguard  if anyone is interested  :tu:

Some bikes are fun because of the ride they provide and some are fun for because of what they carry.

So here's my road bike, which sees most of my mileage.

(Image removed from quote.)

I also have a track bike, touring bike, and mountain bike, but no recent pictures of them.

What year model is your road bike? That is a great looking bike. I have an 88 Bianchi with an updated drivetrain and parts.

Just got the innertubes installed, some joker at Bell was bored or something. One valve core was in nearly 40 foot pounds. Broke both nylon vale core tools trying to loosen it up.
Tore up the shed, two tool boxes, and my tool shelf trying to find a metal core tool. Ended up invading my jewelery chest I had since was a teenager, sure enough one was there. Even then I had to use my Leatherman Charge to grab the side wall of the core tool to remove the valve! I so have to get a valve core removal bit for my Charge, and one to carry on a keychain.

Put a hornless saddle on, and it sure does feel different. Since I gotten bigger the horns of other saddles made me black and blue between the legs. Got a Schwinn Cruiser saddle last winter. Doesn't quite feel right, but I didn't move the TCO seat tube, and stuck the saddle in the middle of the rocker.

Was going to go out this evening to the wildlife preserve I found earlier in the week and ride around, but after all my adventures today it's feeling like nap time - then it will be dark. :ahhh  One issue of being over 50, naps seem to common place.

  Grats! You got it.  :tu:

Went out to the wildlife preserve again today, blew out a nylon pedal. Wrapped it with paracord, and finished my ride.
Guess I should look into a metal version? Not sure what size pedal I require for a 1990's Specialized Rockhopper, or if I can just buy a cheap metal cleated and stick on there.

90's Specialized Rockhopper leaning up against my 98 Suzuki wagon.  :D

The cruiser saddle is okay on the flat paved roads, but kept pushing me out and onto my bars more. Kept repositioning a lot. Once I get my weight under control again will go back to a horned saddle.

Nice bike ryan  :salute: when i had older race bikes you could fit clamps to hold the cage on but you need older cages with the tabs,ta still make them, put inner tube strips under clamps to stop scratching your paint ,that would look good with clips and straps on the pedals, :tu:

I use that same setup. The bracket is made by Minoura and fits standard water bottle cages. Works very well and you don't have to worry about jettisoned water bottles while you ride.

Seen all kinds of screwless water bottle options at Walmart of all places... I was looking for mounting screws at a local bike shop and get a few today to put the second water bottle cage on. Also picked up some cast metal Wellgo pedals that were nice and wide.  :D

Say, anyone have the instructions for this elusive yet cheap XLC Cyclocomputer? Cannot seem to find mine and the battery has lasted almost a year. Went through the tire/wheel sizes and it goes from 0-229, has K/H & M/H settings which is a no brainer, and a clock. Supposed to have 5 functions. Mine looks a lot like this one on ebay: XLC BC-05 5 Function Cycling Computer

Edit: Adding a photo of mine on the handlebars.

Only mine does not have the XLC on the sides, otherwise it physically looks the same.
